Ellen Fay was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Fay of Hunter.

Mary Fay sold land for $1.00 to Rev. Francis McNeirny, Bishop of Albany, for St. Francis de Sales Church on September 9, 1890. [Greene County, New York, Deeds, September 9, 1890, book 123, p. 156]
Mary Fay sold the remainder of her property for $1.00 to son-in-law John Shevlin, January 13, 1892. Her property was lot 11 of Great Lot 25 of the Hardenburgh Patent. [Greene County, New York deeds, book 128, pp. 238-239.]
John's house is directly below St. Francis de Sales Church.
In deed dated October 13, 1906, Mary A. Shevlin is referred to by her maiden name. In another deed, dated May 15, 1909, Mary is referred to as Mary A. F. Rasmussen. [Greene County, New York Deeds book 176, p. 130 and book 187 p. 154.]
On June 9, 1858, Mary Rasmussen and her husband Henry C. Rasmussen sold land to Henry H. Malone and his wife Margaret [Shevlin] Malone. This is the same land May Fay sold to John Shevlin in 1892 and was deeded to Mary and her husband by [Mary's brother] Thomas W. Shevlin on November 1, 1957.
